Our History
The Company was founded in February 1977 by Osvaldo Valentin Calloni, Ricardo Rene Giovanetti, and Carlos Otto Papis with the goal of manufacturing an Orbital Hydraulic Motor in Latin America, unique at that time. Hence, our company name, PILMHOR stands for First Latin American Industry of Reversible Orbital Hydraulic Motors (Primera Industria Latinoamericana de Motores Hidráulicos Orbitales Reversibles in Spanish).
This endeavor involved a great effort in research and development due to the complexity of the product, something unprecedented at that time. As a result, and due to the innovative nature of the project, the Institute of Industrial Promotion of the Province of Córdoba granted the founding partners a loan that allowed them to acquire the first machines for production.
In 1983, a constant process of evolution and improvement began, covering several fronts: the growth of our building infrastructure, the acquisition and constant updating of equipment, and the expansion of the product range, while still considering the value of the Company’s human capital.
In terms of the products, along with the development of the Orbital Motor, the first series of Gear Pumps, called Group 4, was manufactured, aimed at the road machinery sector.
Market demands led the Company to focus on the agricultural sector with the development of two new groups of Gear Pumps, first Group 1 and then Group 2/3 (our flagship product).
Subsequently, the Company took on the challenge of expanding its product range by initiating the development of three groups of Directional Control Valves, VCD-80S, VCD-100M, and VCD-150M, with wide applications and very good market acceptance.
Building on the success of existing products and the emergence of new demands in the oil hydraulics field, a new heavy-duty line was developed, the so-called Groups P5, P7, and P250, aimed at the oil, road, mining, naval, and forestry sectors.
Currently, the increase in requirements in oil hydraulic circuits led to the development of the AP-30 and AP-40 Groups (the highest working pressure gear pumps currently manufactured in our country).
It is important to highlight the great diversity and quality of our products, which allow us to apply them in different sectors such as conventional and non-conventional agriculture, urban hygiene, oil and mining, and the road, forestry, naval, and manufacturing sectors, among others.
Evolution and Transformation
Facing the challenge of continuous Company updates, in 2016 a process of comprehensive restructuring began with the incorporation of the partners’ children into the existing Middle Management, thus constituting the First Management Group. This allowed the Company to have a change of perspective that resulted in the transformation process from a Limited Liability Company (Sociedad de Responsabilidad Limitada, S. R. L. in Spanish) to a Public Limited Company (Sociedad Anónima, S. A. in Spanish), which has Christian Cavallo as President of the Board of Directors, Juan Pablo Calloni as Vice President, and Carlos Otto Papis and Diego Giovanetti as members of said Board.
This transformation spurred the development of a new corporate MISSION and VISION, the fruits of which are permanent technological innovation, optimization of human capital, and the renewal of the Company’s institutional image.
